We have spent this lesson discussing the impact of the Industrial Revolution on child labor and labor reform. Your assignment is to create a political cartoon from the perspective of one of the following:
* a politician during the early 20th century * an activist working to change labor laws * the owner of a factory during the early 20th century * a child working in a factory in the early 20th century Your political cartoon should include a caption or title. You will also need to provide a paragraph explaining who your audience is and the message your cartoon is trying to convey. You will need to use ToonDoo to create your image and place your link on the PADLET page. To aid in the completion of this assignment, please access the rubric by clicking here. I have also provided a tutorial for using ToonDoo. If you have any questions while completing this assignment, please let me know. After sharing your cartoon and viewing those of your classmates, provide commentary on two of your classmates' political cartoons in relation to the effectiveness of their intended message. |
